Privacy information

How AASRO intends to handle personal and location information.

DRAFT — This text is a working draft and must be reviewed (including legal review) before public launch.

What we may collect

When reporting an animal: your name, phone number, the animal's location, a description and photos. When registering as a partner: organisation and contact details, service areas and capabilities.

Why we collect it

Only to coordinate help for animals in distress — so that relevant, reviewed partners can locate the animal and, if needed, contact the reporter.

Contact details

Reporter names and phone numbers will be shared only with partners handling the case, and never displayed publicly, including on the case-tracking page.

Animal-location information

Locations can reveal where people live or work, and where vulnerable animals are. Exact locations should be shared only with responders assigned to a case and shown elsewhere at a general level only.

Storage and retention

Information will be stored on secured systems and kept only as long as needed. This website does not store your report details in your browser.

Your choices

You may ask for your information to be corrected or deleted. Contact details for such requests will be published before launch.
